Sadly, Chris and I will be shutting down YO! MP3 JAMZ. Nope, we don’t want to do it, but apparently we were breaking the U.S. Copyright Law. (As well as getting an email from the “Estate of Michael Jackson.”)
Obviously, our intent wasn’t to promote illegal music downloads, but to introduce all of you to music, artists or genres some of you necessarily weren’t exposed to. But of course, we like our lives and don’t want to go to jail. (And we watch too much TV, so we know what goes on in jail.)
We sincerely thank everyone who followed, “liked,” “reblogged,” and supported the site. We honestly didn’t think anyone would visit it, but you guys did, and we’re eternally grateful. And kind of made us feel badass. K, totally made us feel badass.

The lead singer of One Republic is back to producing and created this track in the hopes that Rihanna would pick it up. He is starting to create his own sound. Simple piano in the background with the synth in the chorus. This is a great song.

Madcon - Helluva Nite
Madcon is a massive Norwegian europop (more retro-urban, IMO) group that’s won tons of World Music Awards and is set to release their fourth album in the States soon. They’ve enlisted the help of LUDA for their debut, “Helluva Nite.”
It’s a lighthearted and upbeat banger that—if given any airplay—could secretly climb its way up the charts. Plus, Ludacris’ flow is maaaad siik.

Chromeo - Hot Mess (music vid)
Canadian electrofunk duo Chromeo comes at you with this dope synth-laden tune surely to be a turntable regular. The original is catchy, but with La Roux added to the chorus, they’re officially assured of being played every 5 minutes on the radio.

Kid Cudi - Scott Mescudi VS. The World (live)
Even though he wants to leave hip hop for the rock game, Kid Cudi still flows with the best of them. The song is heavier than most anything on his last album, but the beat and Cee-Lo’s chorus really bring it to life.
